Functions
As for the sensor, the new Leica M10 R has a much higher pixel count than its siblings. They have introduced a 40-megapixel Full Frame CMOS sensor, together with a Leica Master II processor. This sensor captures even the smallest details and textures, and thanks to the large pixel count ensures that it can be used in any environment, as well as offering lower noise levels. All this offers the highest image quality and an amazing dynamic range. Therefore, it is ideal for landscape photography.
The focus is applied manually only.
Finally, it is worth mentioning some negative points that we found in this model. Mainly, that there is no possibility of recording videos, something that with the high price it has, also has neither autofocus, nor connectivity via Bluetooth, nor image stabilizer. Also, the battery life is not very long.

Opinion on the Leica M10 R
In case you are looking for a good camera for video recording, or you are in the business of recording live videos, this can be a very good option, as the quality is very good, as well as the duration. In addition, this new model incorporates the new AF tracking systems, so you don’t have to worry so much about whether the subject is in focus or not.
The main disadvantage we see in this new model is that it is practically the same as its previous model (Lumix GH5), except for minor changes.
Also, at the end of 2021 Panasonic will release its new model, the Lumix GH6, which looks set to be a very good upgrade, so it’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth buying this one or not.
