Fujifilm GFX 50S
Fujifilm’s first camera in this mid-range format is in line with its commitment to image quality. With the characteristics of the 51.4 mpx sensor, very interesting stills can be taken in terms of color and sharpness. The 3 fps for action and sport scenes is not enough, as well as the fact that there is no built-in stabilizer in the body, which is customary in other evil cameras. It has a number of very competent lenses to get the most out of the camera, even though the body alone weighs 825 g, watch out. The removable visor is an unusual and eye-catching detail that makes it stand out from the rest.

Construction and Ergonomics of the Fujifilm GFX 50S
We are facing a very specific camera for a segment of photographers, since we have a medium format sensor and the curious thing about this camera is that we have such a large sensor in a very “small” body. The small in quotation marks, as the Fujifilm GFX 50S is a camera that weighs almost one kilogram, but it is below the usual for such large sensors. We have a top screen, which allows us to view the exposure settings, such as ISO, speed and aperture without having to go through the main screen which is appreciated. But if something surprises us about this model in its movable electronic viewfinder, is that we can remove it if we do not want to have it, being something quite surprising that had been done very rarely in a current camera.
Moving on to the button panel, it has several positive aspects such as the inclusion of a joystick to improve the speed at which the photographer chooses the focus point. Also as usual in the brand have two wheels that are located at the top that help us to change modes or ISO.
Focus of the Fujifilm GFX 50S
Considering that it is a medium format we have a fairly fast focus, in fact its 117 focus points prove it. Although we do notice a vague response of the sensor being somewhat fair for a medium format camera, especially we can appreciate it better when we shoot and see that the screen goes black for a few thousandths of a second. On the other hand, as is normal in this type of camera, the burst rate is very low, since most of the photographs will be taken in a studio or in controlled spaces.
Quality and performance of the Fujifilm GFX 50S
The quality is one of the strong points of this equipment although it must be taken into account that because of the kind of camera it is, we must be very careful with the focus in order not to lose that feeling of sharpness that gives us those 50mpx, this happens with cameras that have many megapixels and therefore the focus is usually a critical factor. As we have said, performance would not be one of the strongest points, since its processor leaves much to be desired, making it hard to move such heavy images.

Fujifilm GFX 50 S review from TuCamara.net
If you are a wedding photographer or work entirely in studio this can be a very good choice, you will have no noise problem because we have a huge sensor and we have a very good focus to make the most of it. On the other hand, if you do not perform any of these functions regularly, you may find that it falls short, especially if we are talking about a body that is around $5000, especially in the area of burst and processing speed.
