Features
The canon 6D has an ISO sensitivity of up to 10,000 that gives very good results, a shooting speed that is competent, a body that is robust enough for the most adverse scenarios and a new vari-angle LCD touchscreen that makes Live View shooting easier. As for the video we do not highlight great innovations, since it did not make the leap to 4K if not in Time Lapse, however as for everything else we have a camera that will make those who love photography always walk towards progress. On the other hand, the Canon 90D has a very fast and accurate Dual Pixel AF system in scenes with minimum brightness, especially when shooting with the screen. It has a 10 fps shutter, quite optimized, in order to be able to take those moving images more easily, without losing quality. Its 32.5 mpx, 4K at 30 fps, autonomy, color and very low noise, all these features make it a unique camera.
Sensor
The Canon 6D camera will make you enjoy the portraits you capture thanks to the shallow depth of field offered by its full-frame sensor, as well as its ability to shoot momentary expressions thanks to its 6.5 frames per second speed. When you’re shooting landscapes, this camera’s 26.2-megapixel sensor delivers images full of detail and dynamic range for photos that stand out for their depth and sharpness. On the other hand, the Canon 90D has been created with an APS-C sensor, with better resolution than the previous one, 32.5 MP that gives the lenses the 1.6x telephoto reach that a full-frame camera would have.
Body
The Canon 6D’s design features dust and moisture protection sealing and is comfortable right out of the box. It would fit perfectly with all your EOS equipment. As the latest model in a wide range of Canon SLR cameras, the Canon 90D features some improvements over its predecessors. It has a very comfortable and reassuring design, as well as customizable, it is considered intuitive. The camera’s controls are optimally arranged within easy reach of the fingers and thumbs, and it is also well balanced with short and long wide-angle telephoto lenses from Canon’s wide range of optics.
Approach
The 6D’s autofocus system is 11-point and is responsive down to -3 EV. The 90D camera optimizes this function, with an advanced 45-point cross-type autofocus for precise focusing, even in unfavorable lighting conditions. You will be able to track moving subjects within the frame. Thanks to the new advanced autofocus system, you can track subjects faster and keep them in focus.
Video
The Canon 6D II is only capable of recording in Full HD at 60p, which is too short for those photographers who have used 4K. But if we only need to record in Full HD, the camera has some interesting tools to do it quickly and easily. On the contrary, the 90D is a great tool for recording, this is because it allows recording with resolutions up to 4K, in addition to offering a speed of up to 120p in Full HD mode.
Opinion
The Canon 6D Mark II is a very good camera for those looking for an advance over the previous one, it presents a new folding screen, better resolution to be able to crop our photos and a significant improvement in the focus and the amount of photos we can take per second, but it is not a camera that is characterized by its video quality, this is certainly its weak point. However, the Canon 90D stands out for its image resolution and video quality. We are talking about a camera that is on the borderline of advanced cameras towards professional cameras. It is a very good choice for the action or sports photographer who does not want to spend that much money on a full frame camera.
