Functions

They applied a MOS-type sensor, with a resolution of 20.3 megapixels, and improved the anti-reflective (AR) coating, which effectively suppresses reflections and allows images to be captured with the light as seen. The image processor used is the Venus Engine. This set delivers high-resolution images, as well as a 25% increase in dynamic range and improved color detail.

The sensitivity range is ISO 200 – 25,600 and offers excellent color control and noise reduction. And as for the speed of shots per second the camera allows a speed of 12 fps.

Video

The most outstanding novelty that we can observe in this new model is the incorporation of the streaming function, which allows us to transmit live videos with an extraordinary quality, connecting wirelessly to a router or with a Smartphone with the Lumix Sync application. In addition, it allows transmission and shooting up to uncompressed V-Log L format, which records up to 12 steps of dynamic range, ideal for recording as well as professional photography.

It also features excellent video performance, enabling professional recording at UHD 4K resolution at 60p.

Panasonic GH5 II review

In case you are looking for a good camera for video recording, or you are in the business of recording live videos, this can be a very good option, as the quality is very good, as well as the duration. In addition, this new model incorporates the new AF tracking systems, so you don’t have to worry so much about whether the subject is in focus or not.

The main disadvantage we see in this new model is that it is practically the same as its previous model (Lumix GH5), except for minor changes.

Also, at the end of 2021 Panasonic will release its new model, the Lumix GH6, which looks set to be a very good upgrade, so it’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth buying this one or not.
